1. to convert (a fat) into soap by treating with an alkali.
2. to decompose (any ester), forming the corresponding alcohol and acid or salt.
GROAP® works using a process called saponification. It sounds complicated, but it's just a fancy way of saying GROAP® TURNS GREASE INTO SOAP! Saponification is a chemical process which involves a chemical reaction between certain forms of acids and bases. When they mix together, they form soap. Tada!
